I am so disappointed. I bred Daisy 2 times on March 8th and 10th. I thought the breeding was successful because Domino and Daisy "locked together" for 10 minutes. Daisy also started showing some signs of pregnancy but I noticed her belly was not getting bigger. I took her to the vet a week before the due date which would have been May 13th. The vet did an ultrasound and discovered there were no puppies. I was shocked. She told me because the act of breeding took place she must have gone into a "false pregnancy", which is common for dogs that are not spayed. I never heard of this before. I thought breeding dogs would be easier. The vet said Domino might not have a high sperm count. I had 4 people on my waiting list for puppies but good thing I had not asked them for deposits yet. I had to e-mail every one and tell them the sad news we would not be expecting puppies. I had my laundry room turned into the puppy room and had all my supplies ready. I was so upset I could have cried. Domino and Bonnie just moved to Oregon and because of things happening in our lives this fall we wont be able to breed Daisy again for another 2 years. This is so upsetting because I was planning on keeping one of Daisy's puppies so she could have a playmate but not now. I am so sorry to everyone who was on my waiting list and to everyone who was interested
